Westerby Group triumphs at Business Fives: more than just winning!

On Thursday, August 15th, Westerby Group proudly demonstrated their prowess at the Business Fives Summer Season event at the Goals venue in Leicester. Showcasing both competitive spirit and camaraderie, the team exhibited football talent and a strong commitment to community impact. The event, featuring 43 matches, culminated in a thrilling finale where Westerby Group claimed the Europa League title, earning a £150 donation for the YMCA, an organisation dedicated to supporting and housing young people in need.

Jinal Sachdev, Business Development Executive and Team Captain, expressed his delight in winning the Europa League Final “It was an amazing afternoon for all involved with all matches played in great spirit and for some amazing charities. The Westerby Team had never previously played together, so this was some achievement in reaching and winning the final. We’re all now looking forward to being part of the Regional Finals later this year”.

The team’s journey through the tournament highlighted their determination and teamwork, resulting in well-deserved success. As they celebrated, the players reaffirmed their dedication to both sport and social responsibility.
