We are pleased to announce a significant milestone for the Thurmaston Magpies Thunder Under 11s team. Following a series of eight County Cup Finals, their Under 11s team, has advanced to their inaugural final at Holmes Park, endorsed by the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA. The Westerby Group have been the kit sponsor for the Thurmaston Magpies Junior Under 11s Thunder team since 2022. The team play in the Leicestershire Foxes Sunday League against other boys’ football teams in the Leicestershire area.
Jinal Sachdev, Business Development Executive at Westerby Trustee Services and coach of the Thurmaston Magpies U11s, expressed his enthusiasm: “All the boys have worked tremendously hard this season, with many developing at a great pace. Each player has given their best, but most importantly, they’ve enjoyed playing together as a team and as friends, always with smiles on their faces. They truly deserve a shot at winning the County Cup for all their efforts and determination.”
The final is set for Thursday, 23rd May 2024, with a kick off at 7:15 PM. This event marks a pivotal moment for the team, and we urge the community to come and support the Magpies. Your presence and encouragement can significantly bolster the team’s morale, inspiring them to perform their best.
