We were delighted to attend The Parliamentary Review Gala

September 14, 2017

Recently we were delighted to attend The Parliamentary Review Gala to launch the 2017 Review.  It was a great honour not only to attend the evening but to be asked to contribute to the Work & Pensions Review.

Chairman and founder Les McLintic, who set up Westerby The Pension Specialist in 1996, was invited to contribute to the Review which focused on best practice, culture, and the challenges that businesses faced over the past 12 months.

The Review is an important fixture in the political calendar that takes place at the beginning of the new political year with contributors from a wide range of sectors.  It aims to showcase exceptional practice for both public and private sectors, with the finance sector aimed particularly at leading policymakers and business leaders in financial services.

It will be distributed to around 35,000 key policymakers across the UK and abroad and can be viewed online:http://www.theparliamentaryreview.co.uk/editions/work-pensions/work-pensions

Managing Director Steve Harvey said: “We were delighted to be asked to contribute to this year’s Review and represent the pensions industry.  Given the extremely small number of businesses that take part in the Review, this in itself is an honour and recognition of the success that Westerby Trustees have achieved over recent years.”

“2016 was a challenging year for us as the FCA’s new capital adequacy requirements came in to effect.  We rose to this challenge and continue to operate in a declining market place offering truly bespoke pensions for private individuals and business owners.”

“With good corporate governance Westerby has shown that it is possible for smaller independently owned SIPP/SSAS providers to flourish in a highly regulated environment and to benefit from the reduced competition that has resulted from tougher regulation.”

“We pride ourselves on being a bespoke provider of pensions for discerning investors, high net worth individuals and business owners; operating within our values of integrity, independence and service.”
